Twitter is a site that allows people to instantly post a "tweet." It's similar to instant messaging in which people can quickly post their response to other people's post. Many celebrities these days are using twitter to communicate with their fans. Also, people can subscribe to a specific person or group and become a "follower" of their tweets and get constant updates of new postings. I think this application is growing in popularity not only among the teens but other organizations such as new stations (and of course CPL) are using this to publicize their information to the public.
